Do you vape? You may need to vape for that one to make it complete. Or at least hold one of those big vape units the size of your fist that somehow always manages to gurgle and sputter on every hit.
Man, this is gonna be some INVESTMENT. Worth it to be a truck bro tho
(Slightly related: I finally executed a plan I've mulled for years: I bought a pack of cigarettes and asked for a light as an intro to people I wanted to interview. It helped as much as I'd hoped it would, which is to say a lot. Gonna be a smoker on assignment from here on out; worth it)
I don't smoke but I used to carry a zippo explicitly to be on the other side of that icebreaker.
As someone who has been on the other side of that, get a bic lighter and like... empty it so it's dry. Then flick it and get all sad. The dopamine hit of giving someone a light is surpassed by seeing someone's frustration melt away *because* you had a light for them.
Might not be the best default move but if you're really going for sympathy points it might be worth it.

I mean yeah, just look at the Swifties and how they lose it every time Taylor Swift shows gratitude to her fans. It's like, S tier parasocial relationships. And I think you are right that right now especially, Trump is projecting a stiff upper lip, but from some reporting I've read he's super concerned about getting his ass handed to him in all these trials and so probably the love from the crowd is super potent right now for him.
Good stuff. Thanks. V

Always enjoy hearing your take on Trump, though I must admit you sound a bit exhausted. Hope you got some rest afterward.
