Don't tell Laura, but the last ugliness I want to read about is that one she wrote her thesis on. Don't want to see her slip over the edge, but for me KR is teeteringly close. Maybe Laura could use her flight to visit Arlee, MT, to report on what's happening on the police beat - nothing much. Girl needs a break.

16-25 is tough age to categorize. On a base level, you are responsible for your own actions. Kyle is responsible for his actions in Kenosha. Most people manage to make it through to 25, when their prefrontal cortex finishes developing. OTOH, few young adults have the strength of character to resist when a cult crowd lifts you on their shoulders and puts a crown on your head. (Hell, that’s hard for most adults.) It’s sad to see Kyle being led by the nose through his new life. I hope that in 20 years we can read that Kyle is settled down to a quiet life as assistant manage of a Target in a quiet town in the Midwest.

They’ve released the Durham report! It’s the 325 page result of a 4 year investigation. Its brilliant conclusion appears to be that 3 people once lied to the FBI. The rest has many inferences with no substance and a good 2/3 of it is him shamelessly regurgitating stuff from other people’s reports. The right-wing media declares victory.
Title 42 has ended! The border is wide open! No, it’s totally closed! Biden sent troops to border, just like Trump did. Biden is also ignoring the crisis. We’re letting in more people than ever now. Also DHS has changed nothing, and they’re using the same rules they always did. The unreality has reached maximum overdrive.
The reality is even more insane, though. Under the new rules, immigrants can now earn their American freedom by signing up with the new and highly dysfunctional CBP One mobile app.
Also, the government is about to go broke! They’re about two weeks away from actually bouncing checks. Biden and Congress don’t seem too concerned about this. A constitutional crises is imminent. Or.. they’ll make a last minute deal where everyone promises to manufacture the same crisis next year too.

I'm hoping to turn the thesis into an actual article and then parlay that article into a book....so hopefully the answer is a version of yes!
(If I publish the thesis, it means I can't sell parts of it as an article because it'll be previously published so it's going to take some time...)
