Hey Lady! So glad you have had a wonderful trip and look forward to seeing the article on the Omani space program. Sad to admit but my first thought on seeing you were out of the country was "ooo boy, now she has to come back into the country through Customs" which is nothing like it was not all that long ago
You’ve increased my knowledge of Oman by ~1000%. Sounds much nicer than any of its neighbors, despite the UAE’s reputation as a playground. Look forward to learning about their space program.
So for the past 3 weeks, the sign I have taken to the protests has said "FREE ABREGO GARCIA." I plan to continue protesting in the upcoming weeks, and I 100% continue to think that the deportation of this dude was/is a monstrous, illegal act that threatens us all, but I am agonizing about whether or not to switch to a different sign in future weeks, based on other blog posts I've been reading about the purpose of protesting, persuasion, and current polling on this and various other issues. I've also been reading Fox News and NYPost articles about this guy in addition to stuff from Wikipedia, NYTimes, The Atlantic etc., so that I am ready if a random conservative walks up to me while I am holding the sign, and the inconvenient truth is that he beat up his wife multiple times and was possibly involved in human trafficking (and also that this same wife really seems to want him back, and that he was working as a sheet metal apprentice to provide for his family).
I know Laura door-knocked for Harris despite not loving her, so I feel like she's been in a similar spot. Is it better to make a stand on principal and keep on holding this sign, simply because, once the government starts using the police to send people to foreign jails without charging them with a crime, the government is probably not going to stop, or should I hold up a sign that says e.g. "DON'T DEPORT KIDS WITH CANCER" or "NO TARIFFS, TAX ELON" because it will elicit a more favorable response from the drivers on the road who look at my sign while passing me by? It's a tough one!

A narrow ray of journalism to pierce the tyrant's casted dark clouds of deceit. Love and many thanks.
May you safely breeze through customs on your way back, and hold dear in your heart the contrasting lessons you have so incitefully laid out for us.
Oman sounds great. One day I’d like to go but that isn’t in my cards. Thanks for the article about it.
Safe travels. Enlightenment monarchy is better than anti enlightenment democracy it sounds like.
So are you telling us that, at the end of the Trump train, there might be a Qaboos?
Oman was that bad

While you’re there perform a social experiment by protesting for LGBTQ+ rights and see how long your benevolent hosts tolerate your behavior.
Nice piece.
