Honestly Trump made some incredible jokes, he has these devastatingly funny moments while he tears America apart
At one point he called up one of the swimmers who's complaining about trans women complaining in sports, stood by her, she got a big round of applause, and he then told the audience that as clear proof that "men" shouldn't compete in sports, he said:
"Just to show you how ridiculous it is. Look at me. I’m much bigger and much stronger than her. There’s no way she could beat me in swimming. Do we all agree?...Now, I’d have a little trouble. It wouldn’t be pretty. I wouldn’t invite too many friends to that one"
Everyone in the audience knows good and goddamn well Trump couldn't beat anyone at swimming and it was very funny. It's the kind of joke that would have worked just as well if he wasn't being a transphobic little shit and was actually advocating for the opposite, but like...I dunno. I did laugh.
Were there any William Buckley type conservative speakers or was it all culture war speakers?
