Two years is too long to wait in mail for a “speedy” trial, but waits of 9 months to a year are common in America. Except for the extra time, do you think conditions for the Jan 6 defendants are appreciably worse than for most people in big city jails, or are they comparable to the conditions most arrestees face, which results in guilty plea 95% of the time?

That's the horrible thing about it -- the J6ers are experiencing the same human rights violations almost everyone in the prison system faces. It should be a clarion call for prison reform. Instead, the right is creating a martyrdom cult and the libs aren't doing much of anything (re: prison reform)
