All of the arguments can CTRL-H swap trans with gay or queer and I would challenge even the most diehard gender critical person to tell the difference between the arguments.
The thing that makes me sad is that you, and Kinnon MacKinnon, are absolutely right. People who detransition deserve our compassion and our help.
And yeah, those studies feel kind of like trash to me. Not intentionally trash necessarily, but just not up to good standards, not fitting the current DSM, and it sounds like they buried or just didn't share the raw data so that later meta analysis couldn't be used to gain a better understanding from the original data and interviews.
